Do I need experience to use your patterns?

No. Every guide and pattern is written for absolute beginners — straight seams, forgiving fabric, and plain-English steps. If you can thread a machine, you can make these.

What do I get when I buy a guide or pattern?

A digital download. After checkout you get an instant, secure download link on the confirmation page and by email. Nothing is shipped.

How long does a project take?

Most patterns are designed for small windows of time — a naptime, an evening, or a weekend morning. Each listing notes the rough time to finish.

Is there a sewing community I can join?

Yes, and it's free. Join my private Facebook group, Stitch and Study: Basics of Sewing, where we share projects, ask questions, and cheer each other on.

Do you teach sewing lessons?

Yes — online and in person, for beginners. Email me at threadsofjoybylex@gmail.com and let me know which you prefer and what you'd like to learn.

Can I reschedule a lesson?

Of course. Just email Lex and we'll find a new time that works.

Can I sell what I make from your patterns?

Yes — you may sell finished items you make yourself. You may not resell, share, or redistribute the pattern or guide files.

What machine do I need?

Any basic home sewing machine that does a straight stitch and a backstitch. No fancy features required.
